Advanced Voltage Controller

SurajStaar’s SVC and AVC are uniquely designed to suit site’s extreme voltage conditions, like one phase is extremely low or the voltage on all phases keep fluctuating from extreme low to extreme high. These are used at places where Servo Voltage stabilizers do not perform.


SVC consists of specially designed isolation transformer combined with voltage sensor, timer and cut-off system. This simple design ensures that the load is protected from spikes, surges, high voltage, low voltage. However, fluctuations are controlled to certain extent only.



AVC is a combination of Ultra Isolation Transformer and Servo Voltage Stabilizer. Ultra isolation transformer protects against neutral and earthing issues, spikes, surges, EMF, RFI and upto certain extent lightening (away from site). Servo voltage stabilizer protects against low voltage, high voltage and fluctuations (upto 35V per second per phase). Hence an AVC provides protection against almost all known electrical problems (except harmonic interference). Sites located at extreme end of a power distribution network (e.g more than half a kilometre away from the transformer) typically receive extremely low voltage, especially on one phase and no stabilizer can provide output voltage (as most of the time, the input voltage is below range). In such cases, AVC is designed to boost voltage using 2 phases on input.

Though AVC has many advantages over a servo voltage stabilizer, it does have some limitations. AVCs are designed specific to the load and site conditions. An AVC designed for a site many not function properly at another site.
